Learn about plant and animal life, from algae to invertebrate animals, during this tide pool walk with biologists Bob Lemon and Mike Kaill. Bring rubber boots and an old towel for use as a knee-pad and hand wiper. Also bring sun screen and rain gear. Some agility is required for jumping around slippery rocks.

The acclaimed play about General George Pickett, written and performed by island resident and National Park Service historian, Mike Vouri. This will provide an opportunity for participating playwrights and theatre-goers to experience the life of this legendary Pig War and Civil War figure, while also experiencing history through dramatic presentation.

This is a free guided walking tour of selected sites from the downtown historic district. Participants will need to be able to walk comfortably on town sidewalks, including some hills, for 1.5 hours. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance of the tour. Tours will be canceled if insufficient reservations are received by 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Printed self-guided walking tour guides are available at local book stores, or for purchase at the start of the tour. Purchase is optional.
