2:00 pm

The Presbyterian Church was established on San Juan Island in 1860. Over the years, the Presbyterians built and prayed in four different churches throughout San Juan Island. The first church was located at what is now the Portland Fair neighborhood outside of town. The second church (built in 1882) is still standing in Valley Cemetery on Madden Lane. The third church (built in 1897) still stands prominently on Spring Street. The fourth and newest church, was built across the street in 1988. The local Presbyterian congregation is planning a year-long sesquicentennial celebration beginning in January 2010.
