The 8th Annual San Juan Island Lavender Festival will be hosted on the 3rd weekend in July. We invite you to see, smell, hear, touch and taste theĀ  beauty of lavender. Demonstrations will range from the cultivation, flower harvesting and essential oil distillation of lavender to its unique role in the culinary arts. Craft workshops will be held on wand and wreath making, plus crafts and special activities for children. There will also be docent tours of Pelindaba’s organic fields, the Commercial Kitchen & Bakery from which Pelindaba’s many delicacies emerge, and the Production Center where over 250 products are handcrafted from Pelindaba’s own organic flowers and oil. Enjoy local island musicians while picnicking in the Fields with lavender refreshments prepared in the Pelindaba kitchen and lunches provided by island chefs, as well as gathering your own lavender bouquets in the Cutting Field.
