In celebration of Friday Harbor’s Centennial and National Preservation Month, three of Friday Harbor’s oldest churches are opening their doors to tell the history of the town’s historic sacred places and the people whose faith helped shape San Juan Island. Established in 1923, the historic church was built in 1900 by the Seventh Day Adventists, later becoming the Christian Science Society Church and Reading Room in 1923.
