I sure wish that we could get a gig in your town then. We don’t blend-in with other American bands. Our music is distinctive and one-of-a-kind. Check out our website, and drop us a line–and a critique!!
Hoo Boy… Too much to list. I listen to just about everything except Country and Rap. I was raised on the “Oldies” and my father was a big Jazz fan so I slowly over time began to enjoy that. I did the whole grunge music thing in High School. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Foo Fighters, etc… In college I was caught up in the tail-end of the Swing Dancing craze so I have quite a few big band records. Count Bassie, Glen Miller and the like. I also saw the Big Bad Voodoo Daddies in concert. I was also exposed to Techno/Electronica in college. The Chemical Brothers, Paul Oakanfold, The Crystal Method to name a few. I saw the Chemical Brothers in concert a year ago and it was amazing. The sound quality was superb. It just blew me away. I haven’t found anything I like in the current popular music scene. Overall lately I just don’t enjoy a lot of American bands period. They all seem to derivitive and tend to blend together. More in the next post.
